What is Craniosacral therapy (CST) Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is an extremely gentle ‘hands on’ therapy. Deeply relaxing and refreshing, it can also be experienced as pulsing, heat sensations, tingling and relaxing of body tissues. The client often lies on their back on a padded therapy table, fully clothed, while experiencing the light touch of the practitioner’s hands. Craniosacral therapy is non-manipulative and non-invasive. The practitioner creates a still, safe space and ‘listens’ via their hands to the body’s story. This practitioner‘s hand ‘mirror’ back to the client’s body, the body’s current ‘state of being’ or health. The cells of the client’s body then utilise their inherent intelligence to reorganise and release tensions and tissue memories of pain, in a gentle, controlled and safe way. CST work addresses physical aches and pains, acute and chronic disease, emotional or psychological disturbances. As well as releasing tensions in the tissues and fluids, treatment also improves the body’s overall health and function, reflected in the emergence of increased vitality levels and aliveness.
